Marbella became famous as a playground for the rich and famous and is still known as an excusive destination for the wealthy. The city has over 70 courses and is a Golfers Paradise with good golf weather throughout the year. One particularly notable course is Dama de Noche. It is a flood lit course, which allows play through the night, and is surrounded by flowers that open only at night.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;La Plaza de los Naranjos is an old square which was Marbellas cultural and political centre. Today it is filled with Shops, Bars, Restaurants, fashion houses and Art Galleries. Those who love fine dining and relaxing would enjoy La Plaza de los Naranjos. The Old town area also hosts one of Marbellas most important buildings, The Church of Saint Mary, construction of the Church began in 1618&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Marbella has several Equestrian schools, including the famous Los Monteros school, for the more adventurous. As well as sport riding there are many natural trails to see and coastlines to enjoy.
